A loft in Florence
The nobility of this residential structure required an intervention with character and personality to succeed in completing the rationality and functionality of the space. The enhancement of the rooms started by highlighting the ample light provided by the large windows, leaving the internal ceiling variations visible, in harmony with the stair servicing the interior of the apartment.
The overall impression, perfected by the interior design project that both furnished and enhanced function, is that of a large open space devoid of ordinary or monotonous solutions.
The new distribution was proposed using pure forms that modulate the space and generate a double height in the living room. Here the stairway and attic room become protagonists differentiating themselves with finishing in pietra forte for the former and a reflecting surface for the second. The furnishings in the same chromatic range reinforce the homogeneous atmosphere of the daytime area where the flooring is entirely in wood.
