Matter and light in a Florentine Villa
A renovation and interior design project of a villa distributed on two levels in the urban fabric of Florence. The choice of finishings was defined according to natural texture, especially stone as a wall finishing that becomes a background for the protruding wooden treads of the floating staircase, and gres for the flooring in hues recalling the tonality of pietra serena. The other walls are finished in natural lime plaster in light hues, except for light grey resin on the single kitchen-living room separator which contains a sculptural element in a niche on the surface facing the dining area. The made-to-measure lighting and furnishings enhance the feeling of space, amenity and brightness through their rationally comfortable shapes and the use of light colours with a few modulated contrasting colours.
