The intention of the PAT award, Premio Architettura Toscana (Tuscan Architecture Award), is to stimulate reflection on contemporary architecture and the recovery of existing structures as they are crucial elements of territorial transformation and creators of civic and environmental quality.
The restoration project of the canonical complex was carried out according to scientific restoration principles, making it accessible to the disabled wherever possible, so that it could once again become a meeting place for the community. In this sense it was chosen for special mention in this prestigious competition.
